Eligibility Criteria
Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in International Relations, Global Studies, Political or Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Law, or a related field from an accredited institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or
- Bachelor’s degree in the above-mentioned fields with four years of significant professional experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Expertise in results-based project development, reporting, technical writing, and editing, ideally within the global migration/humanitarian sector.
- Experience in donor relations and grant management for key IOM stakeholders.
- Proven track record in donor report writing within humanitarian and development settings.
- Familiarity with Project-Based Management (PBM) and strategic planning methodologies.
- Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Basic knowledge of monitoring and evaluation concepts and methodologies.
- Proficiency in facilitating and coordinating partnerships with governmental authorities, international institutions, and NGOs.
- Experience in supervising and training support staff.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
- Working knowledge of Somali or other relevant languages is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring extended projects.
- Compile and analyze data, highlighting critical issues for relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor budget utilization and propose necessary adjustments.
- Act as a focal point for administrative coordination in project implementation, including liaison with external parties and internal units.
- Draft status reports, identify challenges, and recommend solutions.
- Prepare reports, briefing notes, and official documentation.
- Organize workshops, meetings, and training sessions, and participate in capacity-building activities.
- Respond to complex information requests and maintain project documentation.
- Strengthen relationships with local professionals, community members, and national authorities.
- Supervise implementing partners and report any issues to management.

Can I work for IOM?
If you hold Settled Status in the UK or Channel Islands, you are free to move to the Isle of Man. However, a work permit may be required. If you do not have “settled status,” you will need a valid visa to work in IOM.
