Requirements

  • A master’s degree in International Relations, International Change, Political or Social Sciences, Relocation Studies, Law, or a related field from a recognized educational institution with two years of relevant experience; or,
  • a university degree from a foreign country and four years of significant professional experience.
  • In an ideal world, experience in the comprehensive development/humanitarian sector, including specialized writing and editing, as well as facilitating results-based wander change and reporting.
  • Work inclusion in advocate relations and permit organization for specific sponsors of IOM’s interest;
  • Demonstrated experience in the composition of advocate reports in compassionate and/or progression settings; and,
  • Experience with the Comes Almost Based Organization approach and other essential organizing methods.

Responsibilities

  • Compose status reports; identify transportation deficiencies, inform the supervisor, and suggest remedial actions.
  • Prepared and updated reports, briefing notes, plans, quantifiable tables, and other forms of documentation; drafted correspondence regarding wander issues.
  • Organize workshops, gatherings, and planning sessions; prepare materials and participate in the delivery of capacity-building workshops.

  1. Can I work on the IOM?

    If you hold Settled Status issued in either the United Kingdom Channel Islands, you are free to move to the Isle of Man, and upon finding employment a work permit would be required. If you do not hold “Settled Status”, you will require a visa to be employed on the Isle of Man.

  2. How long does it take for IOM to recruit?

    For positions of one year, which are subject to a vacancy announcement (VN), recruitment can take from 2 to 4 months. The recruitment procedure includes: Publication of vacancy (3 to 4 weeks)
