The Opportunity
The Banff Centre is currently seeking a Bell Desk Attendant who is both enthusiastic and welcoming in order to guarantee that our visitors have an unforgettable experience. You will ensure that the lobby is always clean and maintain the organization of passenger luggage and possessions to and from guest rooms, providing storage as needed, while also being customer-service-oriented and motivated.
Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the following are some of the primary responsibilities:
- Assist the guest with their transportation requirements, luggage stowage, and maintenance requests.
- Provide guests with local information, such as dining recommendations and events at the Banff Centre.
- Maintain the sanitation and orderliness of the lobby.
- Collection and distribution of resident laundry
- Demonstrate guest accommodations, provide assistance to and from guests as needed, and monitor mobility concerns.
- On harsher mountain days, ensure that the lobby lounge fireplace is maintained with a fire.
- Retain a presence in the lobby to assist visitors and address inquiries.
- Ensure that the Guest Services vehicle is kept tidy and in good working order.
Qualification and Educational Requirements
- A strong desire to provide quality experiences and assist individuals, as well as prior experience in customer service.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Professional grooming and presentation, which encompasses the donning of the appropriate uniform and name badge at all times.
